- Rain soaks in the limestone.
- The rain combines with carbon Dioxide.
- The acid seaps through the cracks in the limestone. When the water carries away the limestone leaves little tunnels.
- Over thousands of years lots of limestone is carried away leaving bigger tunnels and chambers of water.
- In time the water level drops and the ground raises leaving a cave.
